Will you charge the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST)?

Effective July 1, 2010 Energy Crew will start collecting the HST.

How will this affect my move?

Before July 1, 2010; our customers were only required to pay the GST (5%). Begining July 1, 2010 the HST, which combines the GST(5%) and the PST(8%), will be in effect all across the province of Ontario. This means that for every move performed on and after July 1, 2010 the tax will be 13%. This new single sales tax will affect almost all purchases of goods and services from businesses operating in the province of Ontario.

For more information about Ontario's new Harmonized Sales Tax (HST), please visit Ontario's Ministry of Revenue.

What are your office hours?

Our office hours are: Monday-Friday: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM; Saturday: 10:00 AM-4:00 PM; Sunday:10:00 AM-3:00 PM. Please visit our contact page for our office address.

How accurate are your estimates?

Providing a customer-centered moving service is our main focus. Our free moving estimates reflect our guiding principles of honesty and integrity.

The effectiveness of our estimations depends on the quality of our customer’s feedback. In fact, when the information you provide us is in sync with the reality on the ground, you can trust that the price you will pay is almost exactly the price you were quoted and that means that you will even pay less if your move takes less time.

Energy Crew makes an effort to provide careful estimates based on available information; however, construction projects, traffic, weather, or other events may still cause conditions to differ from the original estimate. To limit the cost of your move, we encourage you to enhance your level of preparedness by using our recommend packing tips.

What are your rates?

Our prices are made of a flexible first-hour fare and affordable rates by the half hour. Our first-hour fare gives you right to a friendly and professional moving crew, a moving truck when required, a basic liability valuation, blankets, dollies, ropes etc. In short, everything you need for a safe and successful move.

Are there any minimum hours?

After the first hour, there are no minimum hours.

Are there any additional charges or hidden fees?

No! We believe that our customers should know what they pay for early enough so that they can be confident they made an informed decision when opting for Energy Crew as their professional Toronto moving company. This belief is a crucial component of our success as a company.

All charges are listed in your confirmation email and on your copy of the bill of lading, which will be presented and fully explained to you at the beginning and again at the end of the move. Moves in Toronto normally include a first-hour fare, additional rates by the half hour, and GST only.

For local moves, charges begin when the movers arrive at your residence and continue through the loading of the truck, the drive to your new home and unloading in your new home. Long distance moves may include additional travel time and/or gas cost.

What is your policy on Tips? Is it appropriate to tip your movers?

Although Tips are usually provided to the movers as a gesture of appreciation for a service well-rendered, they are not mandatory. The determination of whether to provide a Tip and how much to tip is left to the discretion of the customer.

Providing a Tip to the movers is an arrangement between the customer and the crew members. The amount of the Tip is extra to the cost of the moving service and it is not subject to our moving terms of service. Should the customer choose to provide a Tip to the movers, Energy Crew Moving & Transportation Inc. assumes no liability.
