The Energy Crew Difference begins with our commitment to deliver personalized service and professionalism at every stage.
When you hire our professional Toronto movers for your household move or office relocation, you get an entire team of professional agents and movers who will do whatever it takes to make your next move an enjoyable and memorable experience. Here is a list of things you should be aware of:
For local Toronto moves involving 3 bedrooms and more,
we may conduct a free house survey when deemed necessary to provide you a comprehensive price estimate.
Everything that needs to be moved should be shown to the surveyor during the house survey. You should also ask the specialist to give you a cost estimate of any additional items you may wish to move.
When inquiring about a price estimate, you should give precise information about the location of your old and new residence. Inform the movers of obstacles such as stairs or escalators that will require special navigation. You should also supply an inventory of all items being moved when your price estimate is conducted electronically.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IF YOU REQUEST US TO PROVIDE MORE SERVICES THAN THOSE INCLUDED IN THE ESTIMATE, WE MAY DEMAND FULL PAYMENT FOR THOSE ADDED SERVICES AT TIME OF DELIVERY.
Your booking is NOT CONFIRMED until and unless you have received a Confirmation E-mail containing a confirmation number from Energy Crew and accepted Energy Crew’s BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS. The link to the BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS page will be provided in the confirmation E-mail.
The bill of lading is the contract between you and the mover. The mover is required by law to prepare a bill of lading for every shipment it transports. The foreman leading the crew must give you a copy of the bill of lading before loading your belongings.
PRIOR TO LOADING THE MOVING VAN, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO READ THE BILL OF LADING BEFORE YOU SIGN AND ACCEPT IT. You should also carefully review the reverse side of the bill of lading which contains the Uniform Conditions of Carriage.
The bill of lading requires the mover to provide the service you have requested, and you must pay the charges for the service.
THE BILL OF LADING IS AN IMPORTANT DOCUMENT. DO NOT LOSE OR MISPLACE YOUR COPY. Have it available until your shipment is delivered, all charges are paid and all claims, if any, are settled.
When scheduling your pick-up, you should indicate to the booking agent when your shipment needs to be picked up and delivered. It is your responsibility to determine on what date and/or time, or between what dates and/or times , you need to have the shipment picked up and on what date and/or time or between what dates and/or times, you require delivery. It is the agent's responsibility to tell you if the service can be provided on or between those dates or, if not, on what other dates the service can be provided.
After the pick-up and delivery dates and or times have been determined and agreed upon by both the agent and yourself, you can still ask the agent to change the delivery date and or time, providing your request will not result in unreasonable delay to our equipment or interfere with another customer's move.
However, Energy Crew Moving & Transportation Inc. is not required to consent delivery dates and or time and has the right to place your shipment in storage at your expense if you are unwilling or unable to accept delivery on the date(s) agreed to in the bill of lading.
Upon completion of the shipment, your signature or that of an authorized person is required on the Carrier's copy of the bill of lading to indicate your acknowledgement of the reception of your shipment.
All Canadian moving companies are required to assume liability for the value of the goods which they transport.
By law, all household goods carriers are subject to a basic liability of $0.60 per pound per article. This level of protection is included in the normal cost of your move without any additional charge.
If you chose the Released Liability coverage, the value of $0.60 per pound per article applies. The amount of any loss or damage should not exceed this amount. We reserve the right as a Carrier to verify weight of articles claimed. For additional information on our Enhanced Coverage, please speak with your booking agent.
Example: At $0.60 per pound, per article the Carrier pays the cost of repairing or replacing the television set to a maximum of $18.00 (i.e. 30 lb @ $0.60 per pound per article).
